This time of year the weather can be a real slog, the heat and humidity is omnipresent and we haven't quite reached the time we can start looking to fronts for relief.
So far this week the forecast has lived up to the billing, and it should probably come as no surprise that moving forward it doesn't appear as if we will be getting any substantial changes.
The highs on Wednesday will be right back up in the mid 90s while the heat index pushes closer to 105 during the hottest moments of the afternoon.
A few more showers will be possible later in the day and rain chances will hover around 40%, with a few thunderstorms capable of popping up as well.
In fact the back half of the work week looks like it will be a little more unsettled with rain chances hovering in the 50% range headed into the weekend and most of us should catch at least a passing shower the next few days.
While temperatures may seem hot currently it looks like they will be even hotter by the end of the weekend with the arrival of a heat wave which will cause a spike in temperatures through the first half of next work week.
