Opelousas Police have made another arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred on June 13, 2019.
Steven A. Roberts of Opelousas was arrested on June 28, 2019 and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail. He was charged with one count of second degree murder and seven counts of attempted second degree murder.
Roberts had been arrested previously this year on unrelated weapons and narcotics charges and was out on bond.
The homicide took the life of David Scott Thomas of Opelousas; one person, John Dandre Azuka Leblanc, was initially charged in the incident.
