The Pointe Coupee Animal Shelter is asking for help after the shelter says they were the victims of a theft.

In a Facebook post, the shelter says that medical supplies including vaccinations, syringes, and antibiotics were stolen on Monday night. Dog food, treats and a large cart for transporting food were also taken.

The shelter says that replacing the stolen items would be a major expense.

Those wanting to donate can do so on the shelter’s Facebook page.

The following items are being requested:

betadine
alcohol
peroxide
neosporin
anti diarrhea
allergy
bandages
tape
treats
dog food (pedigree and retriever small bites which can be purchased at tractor supply.)
