Mizkan America has announced a voluntary recall of some Ragu pasta sauces because they may contain plastic fragments.
Mizkan says that their have been no reports of injuries or complaints due to the plastic contamination. The recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution, according to the company.
Consumers are asked to check their refrigerators and pantries for any jars affected by this recall. Any recalled sauce should be discarded and not consumed.
Five Ragu sauces are under recall. The products were produced between June 4 and June 8 and were distributed nationwide. Pasta sauces with the following codes have been placed under the recall.
