What more can you say about this week’s weather than absolutely perfect and it will continue Thursday and Friday.

Highs on Thursday might even be a degree lower at about 87-88° as winds turn a little more southerly creating a sea breeze off the Gulf.

Seasonal temperatures for much of Louisiana on Thursday

Friday as high pressure scoots off to the east the southerly breeze will start to transport a bit more moisture over Acadiana making it feel a tad humid with heat indices maybe topping out in the lower 90s.

Saturday you will really notice the humidity as dew points climb into the lower 70s which could lead to a few pop-up showers during the afternoon but I would not cancel any outdoor plans.

A few pop-up showers possible Saturday

Sunday morning into the early afternoon a weak cool front will work through Acadiana producing about a 60% chance for scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder.

Scattered showers likely Sunday midday

This will be nothing like last week with rainfall totals only around a quarter to a half inch.

Slight rain chances linger into Monday as what’s left of the front could stall over northern portions of Acadiana sparking off a few hit or miss showers during the afternoon.

A couple isolated showers possible Monday afternoon

Tuesday looks nice but warm with highs pushing 90 with heat indices reaching the mid 90s under partly cloudy skies.

Then Wednesday another cold front could try to push into Acadiana bumping rain chances up to 40-50% but like this weekends front it might fizzle out as it reaches us.

A couple hit or miss showers possible Wednesday

After that a large upper level high will build over the southeast setting up a sunny and dry forecast for the second half of next week.
