The St. Martin Parish Council will appeal a court ruling that allows certain businesses to operate on Lake Martin.
The council unanimously approved the appeal during tonight’s council meeting.
Last month, a judge allowed Champagne Swamp Tours and The Wharf on Lake Martin to continue operating. The parish argues the businesses violate a zoning law that prevents permanent structures around the lake.
