Kiwanis of Lafayette Movies in the Parc returns to Downtown Lafayette on Saturday, May 4th with a special double feature experience at Parc International.
The first showing of the night is Heavyweights and will be followed by Dazed and Confused. Dazed and Confused is rated R and is for mature audiences.
Admission is completely free for movie-goers. A sponsorship contribution from Kiwanis of Lafayette has helped make that possible, according to organizers. This is also the first time that the event has hosted a double feature with a late-night movie for more mature audiences.
Other exciting additions include a number of engaging activities like the GoNoodle dance party by Healthy Acadiana, a choo-choo train ride by All Aboard Party Headquarters, and a life-sized Scrabble board from the Lafayette Parish Library. Local restaurants will serve snacks and dishes to complete the dinner and movie experience alongside the standard popcorn and beverages.
Burgers, boudin, red beans & rice, and BBQ pork sandwiches by David’s Takeout Cafe will be available for purchase.
The doors at Parc International open Saturday at 6:00 PM with fun activities. The showing of Heavyweights begins at dusk, followed by Dazed and Confused around 10:00 PM.
Other movie dates for this series include SOLO: A Star Wars Story (2018) on May 18th and Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) on May 25th.
