K9 Pepper and her handler, Toney Wade, were honored at the Superpower Dogs movie premiere in Houston.

Cajun Coast says that Pepper was chosen as one of 12 dogs in the country to be recognized for her work with search and rescue operations.

The duo had a meet and greet with those in attendance for the premiere and met the director of the film. They were each given an award for their hard work and dedication.

Pepper and Wade also watched the premiere.

“All of us are very proud of Pepper and her amazing talent. She is truly a Superpower Dog,” Cajun Coast says.

On the team’s Facebook page, a poll for this year’s K9 of the year is available to vote.

The names include the service animals that are a part of the search and rescue team including K9 Pepper.
