Restore the Roy has become a rallying cry for some across UL Lafayette’s campus.
The Center for Louisiana Studies hoping to renovate the historic building and move into the house on the corner of Johnston Street and University Avenue.
The project is an extensive one and organizers need to raise at least another half million dollars to complete the work
“So, it’s this kinda romantic, old, beautiful, historical building that’s sort of at the edge of the University’s consciousness, but we’re trying to bring it more to the center of the community’s consciousness,” said Joshua Caffery, Director, Center For Louisiana Studies.
