If you’re looking for somewhere to take the family and have some fun this summer, Cajun X Cables is worth checking out.
This is the sixth summer that Cajun X Cables will be open. They are located at 2211 Mills Street on the northern side of I-10 just outside Lafayette.
Cajun X Cables is a family-owned wakeboard and water sport facility. It uses a cable in a half-mile circle to pull riders along the water.
They offer lessons, but according to the owner, Phillip Smith, most people that are relatively coordinated are able to pick it up after a five-minute tutorial and watching others. Also, the staff is great at explaining to riders how to get started and get off the dock.
Cajun X Cables has all the equipment you might need, so all you have to do is show up, but if you have your own board and/or life jacket, that will make it cheaper.
If wake boarding is not your thing, they also have an inflatable water park and sand volleyball.
