After a beautiful Easter weekend the nice weather will continue for the first half of the work week with partly cloudy skies and seasonable temperatures Monday afternoon.

Tuesday clouds start to thicken as the southerly winds push deep Gulf moisture over Acadiana.
Thanks to the extra clouds on Tuesday afternoon highs could be a degree or two cooler in the upper 70s.

Overcast skies linger into Wednesday with the slight chance for a stray shower but it looks like most of the rains will stay off to our East over south Texas, where there is a slight risk for severe weather.
Overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning the low pressure system and associated showers will move into Acadiana.
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue through the afternoon before moving off to the east by Thursday evening, so we might luck out and have a nice night for Festival.

Friday the low pressure will scoot off towards the Florida panhandle but as it does we will have the slight chance for a few wrap around showers during the day.
Good news is things should be dry Friday night for Festival with temperatures in the 70s.
Then for Festival weekend high pressure will move over Acadiana setting up a fantastic forecast with sunny skies and temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
