Don’t put away the umbrella just yet as we will still have the chance for a few passing showers today as some moisture gets wrapped around the upper level low as it pushes off to the east.
To go along with the passing showers winds will be a big story today blowing out of the WNW at 15-25 with some gusts up to 30 mph.
The steady winds out of the north will also help to pull down some cooler air as highs will struggle to get out of the 60s maybe briefly topping out in the lower 70s under a mix of sun and clouds.
Tonight skies will clear allowing temperatures to cool off quickly as lows Saturday morning will drop down into the mid to upper 40s.
After the chill start Saturday looks to be a fantastic day for any Easter egg hunts with lots of sunshine and temperatures warming into the mid 70s.
Easter Sunday looks just as good with mostly sunny skies and highs a touch warmer in the upper 70s.
We stay dry into the first half of next week but clouds will begin to slide over the region as temperatures climb back into the lower 80s.
The next chance for showers looks to be late Wednesday into Thursday and Friday as a low pressure system works towards the pelican state.
Rain chances look to be the highest Thursday and Friday afternoon but hopefully we will get enough breaks in the rain to enjoy Festival during the evening.
Slight rain chances will continue into Festival weekend but I don’t expect it to be a wash out so overall the forecast looks pretty good for Festival weekend.
