Video and photos of flooding and weather in Acadiana

Local flooding is being reported in numerous locations in Acadiana.

Videos and photos are coming in to our newsroom as strong storms continue to push through the area. Motorists are asked to avoid flooded roadways. Any closures can be found here.

A video provided by Megan Duplechain shows flooding in Ville Platte.

Another video shows large areas of flooded roads in Morse. The road is barely visible as a a vehicle moves through a neighborhood.

Savannah Richard of Church Point shared photos from Franquez Street in the city. The roadway is slowly flooding covering the area and lawns.

Mary Miller also sharing photos from Church Point. Flooding reported on Rosella Street. A viewer also shared a photos of Moss Street in the city.

Residents in Sunset have also shared photos. Rosella Daigle shared this photo of her view from outside her home. No location was given.

Concerned viewers in Abbeville shared a look at the sky as storms move through.At a 1:00 p.m. update Meteorologist Rob Perillo paid close attention to a possible area of concern nearing Pecan Island. As of that time, no warning have been issued.

Opelousas also seeing some local flooding viewers Jean Paul Joubert and Ashley Franchebois sharing photos of streets with considerable flooding.

Video from Rhone Village in Crowley shows flooding near homes. Resident Mary George says that water is in some of the homes seen in the video.
