You could be driving down “Who Dat Nation Highway” if one bill passes through the Senate.
Senate Bill 134 authored by state Senator Wesley Bishop, D-New Orleans was pre-filed for the upcoming Louisiana legislative session. The bill seeks to rename the Louisiana stretch of I-10 from the Mississippi to Texas state lines as “Who Dat Nation Highway.”
The bill calls for the changes to be made by August 1, 2019, and would direct DOTD to erect “appropriate” signage provided “local or private” money is available to pay for the signs. To read the bill, click here.
