Mardi Gras is in the air around Acadiana. Public Works employees started placing barricades along the parade route in Lafayette on Monday morning.
LCG employees will be placing the 500 hundred barricades along the four mile parade route over the next couple of days in preparation of the Krewe of Rio’s parade Saturday night.
The barricades are being placed on the side of the roadway and will be moved into the road later this week. City officials are asking drivers to drive with caution along the route while barricades are out.
