Andre Arceneaux, the programs director at the Lafayette Education Foundation, stopped by GMA today to talk about the 2019 annual Teachers Awards.The awards honor outstanding PreK4-12 educators in Lafayette Parish public, private and parochial schools. This year, there are 16 finalists. This Academy Award style event, complete with cheering fans and media interviews on the red carpet, provides public recognition for those who give tirelessly but generously to the children in our community – OUR TEACHERS!
The event will be held at the Heymann Center on January 31st, starting at 7 pm.
Tickets are $5 for teachers and students and $10 for everyone else.
