Faith House’s Nicole Lopez stopped by GMA today to talk about the 9th annual King Cake 5K. The event is being held once again in Sugar Mill Pond and will be filled with fun for all ages. The King Cake 5K is a fun Mardi Gras inspired event that helps raise funds to continue to provide safety and shelter to victims of domestic abuse and help break the cycle of violence. Awards will be given to the Best Dressed Individual and the Best Dressed Group. This year, the event is also including a Fun Race for the kids. And, of course, the event will include all you can eat king cake, provided by the best bakeries of Acadiana.
Registration and Packet Pickup is at 7:30 am. The race begins at 8:30am.
