The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 6700 block of Bundy Road; the victim is a 9-year-old girl.
Police say around 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. The young female victim was found lying down on the floor in the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso area. The victim was taken to the hospital where she later died.
No arrests have been made; police are still investigating.
