Two Lafayette businessmen are hoping to make a splash on Shark Tank with their online clothing service for men.

According to the Advocate, Jeff Martin and Blake Adams started the business about 13 months ago with the help of a kickstarter online. They began with $16,000 from the starter and now hope to net the help of one of the sharks to further build their business and brand.

Called Short and Fat, the online clothing service is for men who struggle to find clothes that fit properly.

“Our mission is to ‘Help Vertically Challenged and Horizontally Blessed Men Live Confident Lives’ and we take that seriously,” a statement on the service’s website says.

The service works in a similar way to a subscription box with shipments of clothes coming in monthly or every other month, depending on the selected membership.

The two will audition later this week in hopes to be featured on the show. According to the paper, the duo hope to make it to the final round to pitch directly to the Sharks.
