LDWF: Boat registration prices raise in 2019

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says that the boat registration price has increased in 2019.

LDWF reminds boaters that the change went into effect on January 1, 2019. The motorboat registration increased by $9 for each boating length category.

Motorboat registration is valid for a three-year period.

The additional funding will go to the Aquatic Plant Control Fund to be used to fight aquatic plants and invasive aquatic species across the state, according to LDWF.
