Mardi Gras has come early for Blue Bell Ice Cream. The creamery announced Wednesday that their Mardi Gras King Cake Ice Cream is now available in freezer sections where ever Blue Bell is sold.
The flavor has been available in Louisiana and Alabama since 2012, but the company says they decided to expand to other markets due to the growing demand for the ice cream.
The ice cream is described as a cinnamon cake flavored ice cream with pastry pieces and a colorful cream cheese swirl with candy sprinkles.
The concoction was created after the company meshed two previous flavors, Mardi Gras and King Cake, together. The company says this mashup is the best of both worlds.
