Chubby Carrier is set to ring in the New Year on Dick Clark’s Rockin Eve show.
Carrier will be performing outside of Jax Brewery on Decatur Street in New Orleans, a part of the Rockin’ Eve’s live coverage across the US.
According to the band’s official page, Carrier will be helping Rockin’ Eve’s Central Time host Lucy Hale ring in 2019 in the Big Easy. This is the third year the show has featured a live broadcast from New Orleans.
Chubby is scheduled to speak about the history of Zydeco Music along with playing one of his hit songs.
The Grammy Winner will countdown the final minutes with Hale and sing “Auld Lang Syne” as the clock strikes midnight in NOLA with a Fleur de Lis drop.
Other performances from New Orleans will feature Florida Georgia Line and Maren Morris.

Carrier won Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album award for the album Zydeco Junkie at the 53rd Grammy Awards in 2011.
