The Franklin Police Department received information in regards to evidence that was disposed of at the time of a shooting that left Braylen Foulcard, 16, dead from a gunshot wound on Augustine Maze Road on October 23, 2016. A 15-year-old was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder for Foucard’s death.
After further investigation, it was discovered that Raquel Matthews, 26, of Franklin, allegedly disposed of the evidence. Matthews was arrested on December 14, 2018, at 5:50 PM, on the charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.
She was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Jail.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
