The United States Postal Service has announced that regular mail deliveries, retail services, and administrative activities will be suspended on Wednesday, December 5 in honor of the late former President George H.W. Bush.

The closure of nationwide offices coincides with President Donald Trump’s call for Wednesday to be observed as a National Day of Mourning for Bush. According to CNN, President Trump and former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter will join the Bush family at the National Cathedral in Washington for a memorial service on Wednesday morning.

A statement on the USPS website reads:

“The Postal Service® will suspend regular mail delivery and retail service on Wednesday, December 5. USPS® will provide limited package delivery service on that day.”

The stock markets are also expected to close in Bush’s honor. The U.S. Supreme Court has also postponed all arguments for Wednesday.
