The City of Crowley welcoming Santa tonight with its annual Christmas parade.
The event is hosted by the Kiwanis club and is the city’s traditional kick-off to Christmas.
The parade rolled at 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of North Parkerson Avenue and 10th Street. From there the parade continued round the parish courthouse and onto Second Street and back to Parkerson.
Folks we talked to said today was not only lots of fun but a great way to get involved in the community.
“Well, it’s the Christmass parade for Crowley and my office along with the Acadia Parish Assessor’s office gives away hot dogs We giveaway 500 hotdogs with water every year just for people that come out to the parade just kind of giving back to the community wishing everybody a Merry Christmas,” said Robert Barousse Acadia Parish Clerk of Court.
