Construction is underway for Louisiana’s fifth and final veterans cemetery.
Crews broke ground near the Veterans Home in Jennings this afternoon.
The new cemetery will serve all of Southwest Louisiana.
Officials with the State Veteran Affairs Department say they should be ready for burials by 2020.
