This morning the GMA crew was LIVE in New Iberia with a preview of this weekend’s Chili Dog Cook-Off hosted by Taunt Na Na’s Trade Days.
On Saturday in Downtown New Iberia, chefs will be serving up their best chili dog recipes hoping to be crowned the winner of the inaugural competition.
Votes will go towards recipes, buns, and most importantly, weenie or no weenie.
The cook-off lasts from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Bouligny Plaza, but all the fun begins at 10:00 pm. Be sure to stop by for a chance to taste each chili dog and pick your favorite.
The day will consist of vendors showcasing handcrafted items and live demonstrations of metalworking, woodworking, among others.
An accordion contest will also be held at the Bouligny Plaza Gazebo from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
