An arrest was made in the September shooting near Cajundome Blvd. that left one person hospitalized.
The United States Marshals Service Louisiana Violent Offender Task Force, with the assistance of the Eunice Police Department, arrested 22-year-old Dovontay J. Helaire of Lafayette at a residence in Eunice.
Helaire is believed to have played a part in the shooting of a 21-year-old female victim on Buttigig Street. The victim remains in a local hospital in stable conditions.
Helaire was booked with attempted first-degree murder.
