For those outside New Iberia you might not have heard of Antique Rose Ville and that’s because it is tucked away off the beaten path.
Antique Rose Ville is located out in the middle of a sugarcane field to the south of New Iberia.
The Antique Rose Ville is an old 1830s house turned into an event venue and bed and breakfast.
Linda Freyou is the owner of this little piece of history.
Freyou inherited the house from her husband, whose family has owned the property for 5 generations.
At first, she used the place to run her garden center as Freyou is a landscaper by trade.
About 25 years ago she decided to turn the grounds and greenhouse into an event venue.
Antique Rose Ville now hosts weddings, seminars, retreats, rehearsal dinners and high tea parties.
But it is also a place for anyone to visit, unplug and enjoy the quiet.
The only thing Freyou asks is that if you plan on visiting the place to give her a call first so she can be ready.
