A male victim is recovering today after being shot in the pelvis yesterday evening in Opelousas.
Police responded to the shooting at 7:45 p.m. on West Cherry Street.
Kevin Hayman, 56, of Carencro, was arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail with attempted second-degree murder in connection with the shooting.
Hours later, officers responded to a second shooting on Kim Drive where one person was killed and another arrested.
