Today marks one year that Lafayette Police Officer Corporal Michael Middlebrook was killed in the line of duty.
Cpl. Middlebrook was shot while responding to an incident at a store on Moss Street.
A memorial service honoring the life of Cpl. Middlebrook will be held this afternoon beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Church in Broussard.
