The showers from Wednesday morning have eased up, leaving behind gray and dreary skies with the front solidly parked on Acadiana.

This front will continue to keep the door open for showers Thursday afternoon, and in fact another round of showers looks likely.

Rain totals won’t look too nefarious, and while a few downpours will be possible the atmosphere has used a lot of energy the last few days so it’ll be difficult to sustain anything major.

The clouds will hang around all day which will help keep temperatures cooler than they’ve been but the humidity will sink which won’t make things feel fall like at all.

There’s some dry air to the north which will struggle to get in because of the front which is stalled, although as it lifts north over the weekend.

As the front lifts it will drag back the warm, muggy, summer like conditions we’ve had for the last several months.
