Drivers in Lafayette Parish, there will be a few traffic slowdowns to be aware of this weekend.
Tonight and tomorrow night, there will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 90 because of construction. The closures will impact the westbound side between Ambassador Caffery Pkwy. & the LA 182 overpass. The closure will last each night from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Also on Ambassador Caffery Pkwy., The bridge over the Vermilion river will be closed this Sunday for routine bridge inspection and maintenance. That closure will begin at 7 a.m. and is expected to last about two hours, weather permitting.
Also on Sunday, Pinhook Rd. at the Vermilion river bridge will close for routine bridge inspection. That work is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
If you encounter any of these closures over the weekend, remember to drive with caution while work crews are present.
