Local group demanding answers from LCG

A local group is demanding answers from the Lafayette City-Parish government about the drag queen storytime event. The Citizens for a New Louisiana organization is circulating a petition in opposition of the event.

The group says that using taxpayer funding “to promote sexual deviancy to three-year-olds was and still is shocking.” A fraternity at UL Lafayette will supply the books and drag queens for the event, which is scheduled for October.

The group is tied to the Lafayette Citizens Against Taxes organization, which rallied against a proposed Lafayette library tax renewal in the April election.
