The Opelousas City Council will try again to adopt a budget for the upcoming fiscal year later today.
Starting at 5 p.m., the council will take public comment on the proposal, followed by a vote to adopt.
Earlier this month, half of the city’s aldermen voted against a version of the spending plan.
The council will also vote on several appointments to the city police department.
