Redskins Rookie Derrius Guice will miss his rookie campaign after tearing his ACL in Thursday’s preseason opener against New England.
The Redskins lost the game, but only learned the real damage Friday morning after an MRI revealed the injury. Guice hurt the knee on his longest run of the game, a 34-yard rush that was called back on a penalty.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the injury is on the same knee he hurt at LSU, and added that some now are questioning whether or not the injury was properly treated by LSU team doctors.
Complicating matters for #Redskins RB Derrius Guice: He suffered a hyperextended knee at LSU but never got surgery. Same knee. Tough to know if that played a part in the ACL tear, but it’s a question being asked now as Guice is set to miss the 2018 season.
