Around 11 o’clock last night, the St. Martinville Police Department responded to a shooting in the 400 block of North Vivier St.
Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male with several gunshot wounds.
Acadian Ambulance transported the person to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
