Fugitive wanted by FBI captured in Lafayette Parish

The Lafayette man wanted by the FBI has been captured. 

38-year-old Ransom Cardel White was wanted for his alleged involvement in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. White was arrested Friday, August 3, 2018, and is being held at the Lafayette Parish jail with no bond.

White was federally indicted in the Western District of Louisiana in 2018 with:

  • Conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine
  • Use of a communication facility in causing or facilitating a drug trafficking crime
  • Felon in possession of a firearm and forfeiture allegations.

Last month, the FBI posted digital billboards with White’s pictures throughout  Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
