A Vinton man was killed early Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Calcasieu Parish, according to State Police.
Louisiana State Police Troop D says they responded at 2:00 am to a single vehicle crash on US Highway 90 near Mack Road west of Vinton. Troopers say an investigation revealed that a 2014 Honda Accord traveling west on US 90 crossed the centerline, traveled off the roadway, and struck a tree.
Troopers say the driver, identified as 22-year-old Adam Bret Vice of Vinton, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was critically injured. Vice was transported to a hospital where he died.
Toxicology samples were taken from Vice and have been submitted by state police for analysis.
The crash remains under investigation.
