Teen wanted after escape from Baton Rouge Detention Center

State Police are searching for a teen who allegedly escaped from the East Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on Wednesday. 

Troopers say that on July 23, 2018, 16-year-old Darreon Wilson of Baton Rouge escaped from the East Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center. Wilson was being held on various charges, including illegal carrying of weapons, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, and possession of stolen property. 

State Police is asking anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Darreon Wilson to contact Crimestoppers at (225) 344-STOP(7867). Anyone providing assistance and/or housing to Wilson is in violation of state law and may be arrested and charged as an accessory after the fact, according to LSP.
