Louisiana’s first LEGO retail store is headed to the Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, according to WGNO in New Orleans and the Lakeside Shopping Center Facebook page.
The shopping center shared the image with the words "coming soon" crafted out of LEGOs. The post includes the LEGO logo and the words "Opening Fall 2018."
According to WGNO, the store will be about 2,082 square feet and will be located in the Lakeside Shopping Center across from the Disney Store and next to Sephora.
A spokesperson for the shopping center, Tricia Thriffiley Phillpott, told WGNO that LEGO is the perfect fit for the shopping center and the community and that they are thrilled about the partnership.
There are over 80 LEGO stores in 32 states. The Metairie location will be the first for Louisiana.
