Three people are being sought by deputies in connection with a string of coin-operated machine thefts.

Gina Francis Giaimiss, 29, of Westlake; Jacob Paul Landry, 24, of Iowa and Ben Weaver, 36, of Lake Charles were booked earlier this month on charges of theft in excess of $750 but less than $5,000. A coin-operated air compressor stolen from a Boyce gas station allegedly was in their possession. They each posted bail and were released.

As the investigation continued, deputies allegedly tied the trio to more thefts of coins and/or coin-operated machines, from businesses in Vernon, Allen, Natchitoches, Calcasieu and Jefferson Davis parishes.

The three now are named in warrants accusing them of criminal conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, and criminal damage to property.

Detectives say their investigation is still ongoing and believe these suspects have been involved in numerous coin operated machine thefts in south central and south west Louisiana.

Anyone with information as to their whereabouts are asked to contact RPSO Detectives at 318 473 6727, Main Office at 318 473 6700 or Crime Stoppers, 318 443 7867.
