A seven-month investigation ended this week with the arrest of a Rapides Parish brother and sister on child sex charges.

Briana Rene Cameron, 39, of Ball, was booked with Aggravated Crime Against Nature, Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, Possession of CDS II and Illegal Carrying Weapon(s) with Drugs. Her bond as been set at $204,000.

Her brother, Jeremy Douglas Cameron, 41, of Pineville, was booked with 6 Counts Aggravated Crime Against Nature, 6 Counts Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, 6 Counts Sexual Battery and 4 Counts Cruelty to Juveniles. His bond has been set at $850,000.

Rapides Parish deputies were called in December 2017 about possible criminal sexual conduct involving a juvenile in the Pineville area, a spokesman said. The victim was living at a family member’s residence where the Camerons were also living. The child was interviewed at the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center.

The investigation turned up enough evidence to support arrest warrants for the Camerons, the spokesman siad.

With the assistance of the United States Marshals Office Violent Offenders Task Force, Brianna Renee Cameron was arrested at her residence in Ball on July 5.  She was taken into custody without incident and during the course of her arrest, Brianna allegedly was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and firearms.

Task Force members continued searching for Jeremy Cameron and on July 27, he turned himself in to Task Force members.

Detectives say their investigation is still ongoing.
