Days before the start of the school year a number of school districts across Acadiana are still looking to fill some teaching positions.
Acadia Parish is in need of certified teachers for english, science, math, social studies, and special education.
St. Martin Parish is in need of a certified 4th graded teacher.
Iberia Parish is still in need of certified teachers for several grades and subjects.
Jeff Davis Parish has 98% of the teaching staff filled and they are still looking for two councilor positions.
Vermilion Parish has 99% of the the teaching staff filled.
