Former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason and his wife Michel Varisco are expecting their second child, according to The Advocate.
A spokeswoman for Team Gleason, Clare Durrett, confirmed the pregnancy via text message to the newspaper earlier today.
Gleason, 41, was diagnosed with ALS in 2011 and has been fighting the neurodegenerative disease publicly with the help of his foundation "Team Gleason."
The spokeswoman confirmed that the couple’s baby is due in October. Their oldest son, Rivers, is 6-years-old.
