Anglers in Erath were casting for a cause today.
The three-day fishing tournament wrapped up today at Don’s Boat Landing.
Cash prizes were awarded to the first place winners in the rod and reel, kayak, and dive divisions. Kids also had the opportunity to compete in their own divisions.
All proceeds go to the Ross Granger Memorial Fund, which raises money for exemplary students who want to attend college.
"We were blessed that Ross got to tell us before he passed what he wanted done, and he wanted to start a memorial fund where we gave scholarships to students for college. We actually help out families that may have a similar illness- brain tumor- that Ross had that may not have the resources to get hotel rooms or travel expenses," said Ross’ father Nathan Granger.
