Brookshire Grocery, the parent company of Super One Foods, is planning another Heroes Flight from Lafayette Regional Airport.

"I’m really looking forward to our next trip," said Sam Anderson with Brookshire Grocery.

The next trip is scheduled for November 8-10 from Lafayette Regional Airport. If you know a World War II veteran who might want to go, you can call Anderson at (903)-534-3112.

Brookshire Grocery held a reception Thursday night in Scott for the Acadiana World War II veterans who were part of this spring’s Heroes Flight. Since 2010, the company has brought WWII veterans to Washington D.C. free of charge to see the WWII Memorial and other sites.

"I think about it all the time," said David Taylor, who was on the spring trip. "I reminisce and I think about the people I met and all the places that we went to."

At Thursday’s reception, the veterans had dinner and watched a recap video their trip. Each veteran was also given a copy of the video, and a photo album of their three days in Washington D.C.
