Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bitz products are under a voluntary recall over salmonella concerns, according to the manufacturer.
Mondelez Global LLC, the makers of Ritz cracker products, announced today that there is a voluntary recall of Ritz sandwich products in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The recall stems from concern that a whey powder used in the products could be contaminated with Salmonella.
A recall of the whey product used in the Ritz cracker sandwiches recently prompted the recall of several Swiss Rolls distributed by Flowers Foods, Inc.
