The rivalry between LSU and Alabama fans runs deep, and when it comes to proving your team reigns supreme, not even a wedding is safe.
According to The Advocate, a groom got quite a surprise during his wedding reception when his Alabama themed grooms cake revealed an LSU surprise upon being cut.
The couple, Johnny and Bekka Campbell celebrated their marriage at Magnolia Plantation in Harahan. In a video posted online, the proud groom beams over his groom’s cake decorated in red and white and emblazoned with the Alabama "A."
After cutting the cake, the groom pauses, lifting the piece only slightly to reveal the cake’s interior. The bride, who was reportedly the mastermind behind the prank, finally plates the piece of cake revealing to gathered wedding guest its purple and gold filling.
The room erupts into chants of "L-S-U!"
