Jennings Police, Fire and EMS were on hand today to host a fun day for area kids at the Jennings Public Pool.
Fire trucks, police cars and K-9 demonstrations were part of the event. It’s aimed at building better relationships among police and kids in the community.
Chief Danny Semmes – who spent a lot of the day in the dunking booth – said it gives kids a chance to see his officers in a different light. Sometimes children only see police officers in a bad situation, the chief said.
